Life-Work Balance (LWB) Initiatives
Ichimasa Kamaboko promotes a good life-work balance (LWB)*, in which, regardless of gender, age, or other attributes, our diverse people, who have their own ambitions and abilities, are able to choose the work style that suits their respective life stages in a comfortable workplace environment.
*The Ichimasa Group uses the term “life-work balance” in the belief that life should take priority over work.
Support Programs
Childcare leave
Employees can take childcare leave until the day their child turns 2 years old (not being accepted into nursery school or daycare is not a condition to take childcare leave).
Accumulated annual leave
Employees accumulate a portion of expired annual paid leave, which can be used for reasons such as childcare, nursing care, or recuperating from sickness or injury.
Approaches to Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children
Ichimasa Kamaboko is creating an environment in which employees can balance their work with raising children, ensuring that everyone can demonstrate their abilities to the fullest.
We have been carrying out initiatives such as providing support for employees on childcare leave to make a smooth return to the workplace and encouraging male employees to take childcare leave. As part of these efforts, in 2007, we became Niigata prefecture’s first company to acquire the “Kurumin” certification as a company that supports families raising children.
Furthermore, in 2015 we became the first company in Niigata prefecture to receive the “Platinum Kurumin” certification, and we continue to work on the development of comfortable workplace environments that will allow employees to balance work and raising children, and also to demonstrate their abilities to the fullest.
To make everyone feel free to access support programs
We distribute the Life-Work Balance Handbook to employees to convey clearly and concisely what programs they can use in accordance with their life stage.

“We want to be a comfortable workplace for our employees.”
It is with this intention that Ichimasa Kamaboko opened a nursery school in its business office.
