In July 2021, we formulated our “ESG Management Declaration.” In this declaration, we take a firm stand on protecting “the life of the sea” and “the life of the mountains,” and utilizing nature’s blessings with care. We believe that passing on the bounty that we enjoy today to the next generation is an important responsibility of corporations. To promote this, we have established a Sustainability Committee chaired by the President & CEO and put together a system for implementing companywide efforts for sustainability.The issues we are working on, including the pressing matter of the environment, are becoming increasingly complex.
